If you have been following the Internet Time Machine blog you know that the Internet Time Machine software that measures sentiment and trends for the FOREX market is about to go live.

In any case, you may judge for yourself, whether or not I have the experience to evaluate this kind of products. At least this is  what I’m going to do.

Let me be clear to you from the very beginning; I am an ITM Financial affiliate. This means, that if you decide to order through one of the links on this page then I will get my share. My ITM Financial Review

THIS REVIEW IS NOT COMPLETE YET. FOR WHAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE ITM GUYS IT LOOKS QUITE GOOD, BUT I STILL HAVE TO SEE THE TRAINING AND TEST THE PRODUCT.

Tell me something.. Finding the right Support and Resistance levels can get a bit “tricky”..

Wouldn’t you agree?

I mean, come on.. how many times have you slapped your forehead when a trade went bust because you’d miscalculated your Support or underestimated your Resistance levels. It happens to the best of us; especially to me , because I’m not on the better side.

The problem lies not in our “knowledge” but in our “emotions”

The reason we as traders get these things wrong is because our “emotions” almost always kick in, somehow, somewhere or the other.. they just do. (Tell me about it )

One of the most pressing challenges a trader faces when in front of a screen – is the thought:

“I think the trend is reversing… I think it’s going to go LONG now.. no wait.. I think it’s going to go SHORT.. which way will it go? Where should I set my stop if my theory goes against me?.. argh.. I’m confused now…”

If you’ve ever traded forex, you have been here.. you have thought this very thought.. right?

The problem with this approach, “thinking” that it’s going to go one way or the other, is that it is very, very unreliable.

So here’s a dose of reality for you:

1. You CANNOT involve your emotions when deciding to place trades.

2. You MUST involve Strictly Accurate Signals when deciding to place trades.

And to KNOW when the market is going a certain way, Top Traders use accurate tools, not their emotional inability to verify their own theories!

Importing and using the FREE ITM Financial FOREX Indicator Signals

To install and use the indicator, you only need to follow these simple steps (after unzipping the file);

1. Copy the Extracted EX4 file into your C:\Program Files\MetaTrader 4\experts\indicators folder
2. Close your MetaTrader application (assuming it’s currently open … Ignore this if the application hasn’t been launched)
3. Launch your MetaTrader application
4. On the left hand (bottom) side, look for the “Navigator” window
5. Under the “Common” tab, look into the “Custom Indicators” directory
6. Locate the indicator which you have just downloaded into the folder stated in Step 1
7. Drag (Click and drag) the indicator onto the chart…. and your done

That was exactly what I did. It took me just a few minutes, and following you see MY video explaining how the ITM Finacial indicators work. One advice before I move on; you should not rely on one single indicator, but confirm the signal with a few other ones too. This is also the reason why  ITM Financial relies on so may current sources to increase the accuracy of its predictions, which on the other hand are build into the indicators.

Before we move on let me remind you an important concept. The ITM SigAlert Indicator is meant to be used as just that, momentum based indicator. It is not a robot or an Expert Advisor. You have to take other factors in account before “trading” an indicator that predicts just the trend; factors like other ITM signals and indicators that will make your trader’s live easier or divergence on CCI, RSI at the current period, Volume, etc.

Trading with the ITM Financial SigAlert Indicator - Tutorial 2

IMPORTANT Clarification:

The ITM SigAlert Indicator is not an Expert Advisor and works with commodity channels along with other indicative logic.

You cannot run back-tests on a Momentum-based indicator like this. You absolutely must select an appropriate Entry Point to enter the market after reading the SigAlert indicator’s signals.

The ITM SigAlert indicator seems to be a very accurate trend prediction tool, as we can very clearly on the charts, but there is more to trading than just one indicator, and the ITM SigAlert should never be used without looking at other factors in multiple timeframes.

ITM Financial “-“

• Although Internet Time Machine state of the art and well established in the Internet Marketing world, the algorithms that are the foundation for evaluation and decision making for ITM Financial are not the same in the forex world. Although the statistics the ITM Financial team present are far above average; let’s say it out loudly…WHY SHOULD WE TRUST THEM?. I don’t, even though I have had no bad but only good experiences with them; as customer and affiliate as well. They still have to prove themselves in the real world with real customers.
• The ITM Financial monthly  subscription price, even for a launch, is still pretty high, compared to some of the competing products like daily subscriptions to newsletters or forex robots. I have only researched a little and not tested other than my daily newsletter, hence, I won’t compare. On the other hand, are they comparable? I believe not really. It all boils down to whether you are capable of making more than your monthly payment with the information provided. But what is clear, if ITM financial proves to be a success the monthly fee will go up dramatically

Final Thoughs

Let me add a comment. If this was so simple, why are the ITM Financial guys selling the membership to such priceless information?

1. In my opinion, it is not a science, and even the 60-70% probabilities are still probabilities and not reality. There is always a risk, and even if we get high quality signals, it is OUR responsibility to take the right decisions at the right time.
2. By revealing the signals they have nothing to lose; on the contrary, the more that follow the same trend the stronger it becomes; the “self-fulfilling prophecy”.
3. Moreover, if we work together, as we could on eToro, the social FOREX trading site, the more information the product has and the better the predictions will become over time. So they need others to help refining the tool further.
4. Simply do the math! Let’s say: they get 1000 members at $97/month. = $1,164,000 and 500 take the email alert option for $27/month = $162,000 – That’s a juicy total of $1.326.000 EVERY YEAR.
   Finally, another 300 go for the 10 hour’s beginners to advanced FOREX training for $197 = $59.100; quite a nice add-on. Note: For simplicity I have not taken any affiliate commissions the will have to pay into account. But my guess is that it will still be close to a Million USD each year. And imagine they take on more members and at a higher price!

Bottom line; it’s a win-win for all of us!

When a Trend Isn’t Worth Pursuing, Even a ‘Magical’ Trend …Salvia divinorum or Salvy

You’ve probably heard of Magic Mushrooms, Peyote, and other hallucinogenic drugs.  They rose to prominence in the early 1960s and it seems young people, especially in the U.S., have been in search of the next product straight from Mother Nature that will give them a high …

Well USA Today recently ran a story on Salvia divinorum, a leafy plant better known by this moniker: magic mint.  It grows in remote Mexican villages and is a good cash crop for the poor farmers who live there.

The ITM had been seeing increases in the term as we tracked You Tube entries, blog posts and other articles about the magical mint.  But this is where the filtering process comes in.  At first we were very excited because of the sharp uptick in interest … and then we did some more research.

“By far and away the most potent naturally occurring hallucinogen.”  That was the description of “Salvy” (another nickname for the plant) from the head of a national drug screening program.  And before you think he’s just another right-winger who thinks the mere mention of natural drugs is ridiculous, he does see a benefit in using extract from the plant to relieve mental illness.

But we saw the writing on the wall.  Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s going to provide an avenue for profit.  And of course we would never advocate doing anything illegal – but that’s the thing: until recently the magical mint was 100% legal in the United States.  It still is in 39 states.  That has one of our research assistants fueling up his gas tank right no, but that’s another story …

When looking at products to capitalize on ideally we’re shooting for something with a little more ‘growth sustainability.’  In this case, this was one ‘magical trend’ we took a pass on.  This example emphasizes the importance of the screening process AFTER the raw data has produced an area of interest.

My first impressions

I am ITM Platinum member and got the Premium version of the SEPCON Email List Building System. I installed one of the early versions (1.1.0RC1), which still has a minor bug;  it is not saving the Web Report Excel format on my MS Vista PC, but text and CSV work perfectly and SEPCON  s really fast.

Within les than 5 minutes it harvested 4989 emails related to my test niche (keyword), “barber”. It could have been many more, up to 10.000 with the premium version, as you can specify how many websites (Data Sources) SEPCON should fetch initially, to then start spidering those and reaching out to related sites. But for my test this result was ok.

SEPCON is very easy to use. Select the country, enter your key phrase, #of Data Sources and press the Search button. It then starts crawling the web, returns additional keyword suggestions, web pages with their Google PR   incoming/outgoing links, and naturally, a list of emails.

What is quite nice, you can do en incremental search; meaning that it does not start over again for each search, but increments the lists of keywords, web pages and emails. What’s not so nice is that there is no reset button. If you want to start over you have to restart the application

Speed is important, but not really an issue if you don’t need so many emails. And if this was the case, I would just let it run in the background or during the night,

What really would make a difference would be the quality of the sites searched and consequently the quality of the emails harvested by SEPCON. First of all it is your responsibility to do a little keyword research first. I.e. “barber” is too broad; “barber shop” may be better qualified if wanted to offer barber supplies.

So how can we judge if the emails are relevant? Given you have selected carefully your keywords; initially you will have to rely on the SEPCON search algorithm to crawl RELEVANT sites only. For what I have seen I can’t judge the quality of the harvested emails, but lots of the sites looked quite related.

On the other hand there was one pattern that made my alarm bell go off; out of 4989 results there was no one single email that had the company’s domain extension. Almost all were from hotmail.com or aol.com and no gmail or yahoo email was in my collection either! Don’t they care about having a good shave? I decided to search again for something more professional; “enterprise routers”, but again only hotmail and aol users seem to be interested in routers.

I think the SEPCON List Builder System still need to do a little more tweaking. To me it looks like that the results are more targeted towards end-users and not companies. Be aware that the SEPCON creator claim that the emails are not gathered from web pages like other email robots do, but are targeted users that opted in on one of the pages they get the emails from. The source of the emails could be explained better, so you know what you can expect. In my case I won’t use the list to offer barber supplies, but maybe I could promote shaving creams or router related products and ebooks.

BTW, I “like” the statement the SEPCON creators make; “You will get your account banned if you use this tool for SPAMMING!”. How will they know? And what the hack am I going to use the emails for if not for sending at least ONE email to each to see if I can get them to opt in MY list too! I won’t print them out and pin them on the wall as decoration. Although, who knows, this may be considered modern art? In any case, you should be on the safe side if you send only one email and offer them a bribe to stay (double optin) on your list.

I have also come up with some suggestions to improve and enhance the tool:

1. There are no “options” settings. SEPCON “insists” on storing the exported files in the installation directory, and even if I choose another one, the next time it has already forgotten my choice.
2. As I did not get the Web Report to export, I suppose that this information may already be available, but just in case… It would be wonderful to know from what website and webpage the email has been collected,  and for each page get the Google PR, and number of incoming/outgoing links.
3. As SEPCON already provides some additional keyword suggestions, why not export those too or have a button to copy them to the clipboard?
4. Talking about Keywords, It would be VERY useful to be able to add negative keywords to the search criteria. This would allow filtering out unrelated web sites.
5. As we have seen, the emails come more from the social world, hence an option to harvest other types of emails, like company related ones, or the possibility to exclude domains like hotmail and aol would make the results more targeted.

Conclusions on SEPCON’s Email List Building “Potential”

I have chosen the word “potential” on purpose. Well, this is the very first version, and we can expect improvements to be coming very soon. I so not care too much about it’s speeb, but more about how I can best take advantage of ist capabilities in my IM business. If I used the emails to target specifically the social, and not the business world, I think the SEPCON’s algorithm seems to work quite well. Knowing this helps you target better. As the  SEPCON Email List Building software will be getting more sophisticated, the price will go up too. So, given you have lifetime upgrade rights, it may be now the right time to lock in the current price.

I had a similiar experiencee with Marktet Samurai, which was initially only a keyword research tool and has now grown a complete suite of IM research tools and is one of the most recommended keyword, market, competition and content research applications. I had purchased Market Samurai in the very early days for less than half of today’s price , and I love it more every day.

SEPCON Email List Building System Installation considerations

BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT, please make sure you visit the Java Sun website and download the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE), available from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and INSTALL it, Restarting your system after doing so.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7. (If you are running MacOS, please wait another 48 Hours for the MacOS Version to become available)
2. Intel Pentium (Any Processor Chipset) 1.66GHz+.
3. 1 GB RAM or more. SEPCON Requires 600MB of RAM to be free, otherwise it may work very slowly, and possibly crash due to lack of available memory on your system.
4. An INTERNET CONNECTION (naturally)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MUST-NOT’s !

1. Do not delete ANYTHING from the SEPCON Installation Directory, after the software has installed. If you delete any of the files in that directory, SEPCON WILL NOT WORK if you delete anything.
2. Make sure your Internet Connection is working and live before you execute the SEPCON Application. SEPCON WLL NOT WORK WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION.

Hello everyone, Curt is here with the ITM and we have our first help wanted.  People like to call an email answer and a posting on the forum. I think  you were scared to be first one to post asking for for help so  I have to put it up there for it.

Two things to talk about -  two projects that some members we are thinking have started on where anybody wanted to help, which we always encourage. If you are going to the ITM main page it have a forum, you will see put it out HELP WANTED: EBook for Guitar Rockband and Working Together on a Smartphone Carholder.

I’ll go to the Smartphone Carholder as people are interested in working on this. If you have not seen the posted an iPhone niche the carholder, this actually showing a lot of demand in Smartphone Carholders, because they have been used these cheep GPS devices. So everyone on the Smartphone that wants to use these GPS, needs a Carholder.

And a group of plastics engineer’s kids, getting their postgraduate degree in college, called me up and had the conversations that is actually pretty easy to do that – the prototype would may be take a day.  Figuring it out, it had a plastic placed on a dashboard or in the ved just like every GPS company is struggling, where is the challenge. But they only want to do a website on marketing form but they said they could come up with the prototype. So I put this post up new guys can respond and I form their link chapter responses and see if you want to contact anyone.

The second one that is kind of interesting: I had a conversation about a half hour today and we have an ITM member who has been using the software and is looking at guitar – niche guitar keywords. She knows these electric guitar lessons for dummies, she has been following some rockband and guitar hero video games. And there is a small staff up there guitar mania figurines. The air guitar wristband is a probably similar to a real guitar wristbands. A 21st century guitar method can it be the new rockband method. And what have 623 million searches – guitar sheet music for hey there Delilah: “Hey there Delilah” – is not it that song? That is just GSD with the acoustic, but anyway…

Here is Terry and he was saying if you are not familiar with the guitar community, it is kind of a great divide over the video game guitar. You could see it has a buttons on it like rockband and guitar hero that kids were playing. Half of the community I do not know what the members are thinking – it is absolutely awful, it is a sin, it is an insult to a guitar that is should be punished and that is nothing to do with the music. The other half feels one of 10 % of those people have playing the guitar in the real life and they transform that to the real guitar and it is a good think it brings people to music and it brings people to the guitar, so how can it be bad.

Anyway, guitar hero and rock band came out three four-five years ago so those six – eight year old kids start at playing and are now 12 to 13 and they want to get a girlfriends and then start to get a girlfriend been a great guitar hero player. If you play the real guitar you can do pretty well so he want it do an ebook based on kind of writing on guitar transition phenomenal from a video game  guitar to a real guitar. And I have just suggested to him I said you can go get the white label and a privet label rights to actually to how to play guitar book and then just read you the frank. You know already that idea we talked about the video game guitar: you know the rhythms, you learn how the write hand works, how the left hand is different, how pushing the buttons you know what accord formation is. And you could probably have a pretty successful E book that attract a lot of people that want to learn maybe a transition into the real guitar but, if anyone knows  how that is related to the video game guitar they started are. He is looking older bid older and he is not interested in writing yet may need some help in the website. But this is pretty interesting idea.

I thing there is a good big group of people  in that niche market how get I go from video game guitar playing and what I had in my hands work on it to a real guitar could be pretty big. So I pick the top polls up on the ITM website –  again here is the home page, here is the article on the iPhone, and all I had to do is to set the forum button will come up. If you are interested or you are copywriter, a book writer, a website designer, someone that is interested in these two subjects. Leave your response there and we will see if we can put some of them together for a few people to work on it together. So I will talk to you later

Initially, I did not think of participating, because I am too busy putting my customers on the first page in Google (No Joke, most have +50 search terms on page 1). In the end I have to make a living and have only little time to dedicate to my own intend to make some money online with Internet Marketing techniques . This is the only website I have really put some effort in and its is pretty well positioned, but I thought it would now be time to TAKE ACTION and apply some of the techniques I have been learning for years and see whether I can go the next step.

So, here I am, writing this first introduction. I hope that this will force me not only to start – as with so many other failed intends- but go all the way through and COMMIT myself to this endeavour. If you are like me, one of the failing and frustrated Internet Marketers, then we may be able to even learn or suffer together. If you are more successful and would like to share your experience, Welcome! I strongly believe that it only requires knowledge, action and commitment to achieve many goals  in our life, but we are too weak, and especially if we or the “Lonesome Cowboy” path it will be difficult to progess.

O.k! Now lets be positive and constructive. First of all this is not only a competition for me but also the REAL start of my (personal) Internet Business. So, I will be taking this seriously, but have fun too. Join me!

First of all let’s outline the basic approach:

1. The Contest starts May 20, 2010 and goes for 120 days, so although this is a short period, apart of paid advertising I hope that this will continue after the ITM Challenge. Therefore my first goal is not to win the contest, but lay the foundation for the future and also use mid and long term traffic techniques: Therefore, it will not be a micro niche, but probably go into the 300.000 – 900.000 competing pages range for the main keyword.
2. I will be looking for a niche with substantial searches in the ITM and cross check with Google’s External Tools
3. This must be “buying” searchers, so they should have a strong interest problem, or need.
4. I may do some more keyword research to get more targeted keywords.  I use  Market Samurai for this. This is a real time save. I think you can stell get a free 30 days Market Samurai trial here . Should be sufficient for this project.

It is February 5 and I thought you should look at this quick video on languages and how the Internet Time Machine uses the English language to find niches that are actually in other languages. Because with Google translator and with so many translations that are now available, you really need to be aware of what people of other languages are searching for and how to translate it in English.

As a quick example on Today’s ITM Core Trends – February 5^th, this do not changes much as it takes time for this numbers to move as they are long-term trends. There is a search in pwc china compass here at number 391. Now when you go to Google and check on that, we are actually comes up to a German site, they all are German and so on. Because the Google has translates this page, we can pull it up and noticed that the Internet Time Machine has found the pwc china compass in English and what it is? It is a newsletter, in adjustment it is a newsletter by Price Water House Coopers on investing in China. So if you are doing any type of investment product, looking to get leads for people interested in investing in China, let us say you have a newsletter or your investment financial website, pwc china compass is a big search trend right now around the world, but it is just not in English.

People are using the words in English, because you have already known all these sites are in German and there is no PPC here. It only has 38 000 organic results. This is going to be ultra cheap PPC for you, so I just have a kind of languages translate so and do not have been worried about the Translate this page, that is in another language, they will find you. This is a great opportunity because it is so easy to go between languages to grab really low cost search terms in other languages and put them in English!
